Newborn Puppy Care from Day 1 to 52 Weeks

To let you know what happens during the cutest weeks of a puppy's life, we asked Dr Jim Gibbs to share the most critical care information during the early stages from day one to week 52.

1. What nutrients are necessary for newborn puppies and why?

Protein: Protein is a fundamental biological building block. Dogs are carnivores, so compared to plant proteins, meat proteins are more suitable for their digestive systems. Our goat milk powder is rich in animal proteins, which are essential for the growth of puppies!

Calcium: Puppies are in a critical period of bone and tooth growth. They have a great demand for calcium. For puppies, calcium deficiency is likely to cause developmental malformations, retained milk teeth, or other symptoms. Therefore, PetNZC specially added calcium to ensure the healthy development of puppies' bones and teeth.

L-Lysine, DHA and Folic Acid: Just like humans, puppies' brain, vision and nervous system will develop rapidly in the early stages of their lives. The growth and development of this period are crucial to their life. L-Lysine is one of the essential components of protein, but puppies cannot synthesize lysine by themselves. Puppies can only take lysine through food. Lysine plays a vital role in the development of the puppies' brain and is also a component of the liver and gallbladder. In addition, lysine can promote the metabolism of puppies and promote the nutrient absorption and growth of puppies. PetNZC, therefore, added lysine, DHA and folic acid to the formula milk powder to help the growth and development of the puppy's brain, vision and nervous system.

Lactoferrin, Vitamin C, E, and Folic Acid: The puppies' immune system is developing. They need adequate nutrition to enhance immunity. PetNZC specially added lactoferrin, vitamin C, E and folic acid, which can effectively improve puppies' immunity.

Minerals: Minerals also play a vital role in the development of puppies. In particular, iron is essential for the physical and intellectual development of puppies. Zinc can promote the development of the puppies' immune system, and it can also improve the health of the puppies' skin and hair. Selenium is an antioxidant that helps prevent various symptoms caused by oxidation. PetNZC specially added iron, zinc, selenium and other minerals to ensure the healthy growth of puppies.

2. What are our breakthroughs?

Many dogs are intolerant to lactose. For puppies with imperfect gastrointestinal development, lactose intolerance is even more painful. Goat milk is more nutritious, easier to digest and absorb, and less likely to cause lactose intolerance in dogs and puppies. Therefore, PetNZC uses goat milk powder. Goat milk is the most natural alternative to dog milk for puppies.

3. How will puppies benefit from our product?

Goat milk formula is rich in nutrients, easy to digest and absorb, and is not easy to cause allergies. In addition to natural goat milk, PetNZC also added calcium, lysine, DHA, lactoferrin, minerals and other nutrition to support the development and growth of the puppies' bones, teeth, immunity, brain, eyes and nervous system.ž
